Welcome to year 5 and 6 .

Hello and welcome to Mrs Rowlands-Tibbs’s class. We are always busy here working hard in maths and literacy but also fitting in some fun with our work in the afternoons.

We are using quality texts in literacy to enrich the children’s reading and writing skills as well as having another text to broaden their literacy skills in our Guided Reading sessions. During science you will find us working on experiments as we like to ensure activities are practical so the children are engaged and involved in their learning.

This term we are learning about the Ancient Greeks and have been able to explore this in depth using our quality text in Literacy and during Geography, History and Science lessons.

We practice spellings using Readiwriter which the children can access at home but we also have time in school where all children use this so they can practice for their weekly spelling test. TT rock stars is also something the children can use to practice their times tables at home and in school.
