EYFS

Hello and welcome to Miss Simcox's class. We are a mixed class of Pre-School, Nursery and Reception children.  We are a very sociable class where we know that every child is unique and that we will learn to build positive relationships within an enabling environment which supports our learning and development.

We follow the Early Years curriculum covering 7 areas of learning and are very busy accessing both indoor and outdoor resources, known as Continuous provision.  We also enhance our resources according to the seasons, celebrations and children’s interests.

We know that we can use anything we like to support our active learning, play and exploration as long as we “Choose it, use it and put it away.” We learn that sharing is caring and support our friends to be as independent as possible.

This term we have been finding out all about each other’s pets after Miss Simcox brought her new puppy into school, it was great fun to see all the different animals.  We are also learning about celebrations such as Halloween, Bonfire Night, Remembrance day, Diwali, Advent and Christmas.

To find out what our class will be learning over the course of the year, you can see our EYFS overview.
